In 1987 my father taught me how to use my first camera. A Pentax Spot Matic 35mm film camera. Little did I know this piece of equipment would take me on a journey in photography later in life. The Lord has blessed me with a gift. I use this gift to capture special moments in peoples lives. The art of photography, has always inspired me to give each and every client something that is near and dear to their heart.

I learned that there are three simple principles to taking pictures. First a good photograph should have a clear, unambiguous subject-one that is immediately noticed by the viewer, Second a good photograph should focus attention on the main subject of interest and last a good photograph should simplify-it should include only what is necessary and it should eliminate or minimize what is distracting. His love for photography came when he began to see the world in all its beauty and wanted to share these visions with anyone that would appreciate them for what they were.

I began to study books and articles written by some of the world’s greatest photographers. I have read books written by Bryan Peterson, Michael Freeman, George Shaub and Tomas Ang. I have studied photographs from Ansel Adams and other well known photographers.

I have graduated from the New York Institute of Photography’s and will continue my education with the The Art Institute of Pittsburgh leading to a bachelor’s degree. I currently specialize in wedding photography and album design, but I often deviate down other technological and artistic paths.

I work very hard to gain the clients business, from my professionalism as a law enforcement officer I know how to treat people. “The clients needs come first and foremost and I strive to give the client exactly what he or she wants”!

As famous photographer Ansel Adams once said “To photograph truthfully and effectively is to see beneath the surfaces and record the qualities of nature and humanity which live or are latent in all things”.

In 2008 I decided to bring two amazing photographers into the business with me. One is a fashion photographer named Francisco Tafoya, the other Steven Garcia who has more of a photojournalistic approach.
